If the thought of preparing a Passover seder feels like one more plague this year. Or if cooking Easter brunch or supper seems too “eggs-travagant,” there are several area restaurants that will do the cooking for you. Here’s a list of meals to-go and a few in-person options for each holiday too.


PASSOVER MEALS


Abe Fisher

Meal: Passover Dinner for two

When: 1st night of Passover (Saturday, March 27)

Pick Up/Delivery: Pick up on March 27 between 2-4 p.m. or delivery

Feast Your Eyes Passover Dinner To-Go

Meal: Passover dinner

When: Friday, March 26, Saturday, March 27

Pick up/Delivery: At Front & Palmer in the South Kensington Arts District. Delivery in the city available.

Menu:

Seder Plate for table

First courses: Chicken Soup with Matzah Balls or Orchard Salad with Apples, Sundried Cranberries, Walnuts*

Second courses: Housemade Gefilte Fish Terrine or Mezza Plate with Eggplant Zaalouk, Tomato & Pepper Taktouka, Moroccan Carrots*

Main Courses: Beef Brisket with Dried Fruit, Herb Crusted Salmon, Chicken with Capers, Artichokes, Lemons, Eggplant Braciole with Roasted Cauliflower, Trumpet Mushrooms, Confit of Tomatoes*

Cantina Feliz in Ft Washington

Meal: Passover Dinner with a Mexican twist

When: March 27 through April 1

Pick up/Delivery: In the restaurant, socially-distanced with limited capacity. Also available for take out.

Menu:

First course: King Salmon Tostada - Malanga chip tostada topped with king salmon, mango, jicama and pineapple.

Soup: Matzo Ball Soup: A fresh take on the restaurant's tortilla soup with red chile, avocado and chicken

Entree: Braised Short Rib Taco: Morita Chile bbq brisket topped with chipotle slaw and served on Boston bibb lettuce cup.

Note: Only available at Ft. Washington location, not Fairmount location (in the restaurant formerly called La Calaca Feliz).

Price: $21.95 for all three courses. Also available à la carte.

Constellation Culinary

Meal: Family-style Passover Seder

Pick Up/Delivery: Pick up starts March 26 and runs throughout the holiday. Delivery available starting March 26.

Menu:

First course: Chicken Liver Mousse, Matzah basket, Matzah Ball Soup, Gefilte Fish, Salade Verte

Entrees: Braised Beef Brisket, Citrus-Rosemary Brined Chicken Breast

Sides: Roasted Baby Carrots, Haricots Verts, Herb Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, Potato Latkes

Dessert: Strawberry Elderflower Mousse, Raspberry Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Covered Matzah, Mixed Berries

Note: Includes parsley, maror, shankbone, hard boiled egg, charoset and bitter herb for seder plate

Price: $90 per adult/$45 per child under 12 (minimum of 4 guests)

Fork

Meal: Passover Dinner Box for Two

When: Saturday, March 27 afternoon

Pick up/Delivery: Pick up available. Dinner is also available in-house on March 27, alongside the restaurant's dinner menu.

Menu:

Main course: Braised Short Rib or Seared Arctic Char (select 1)

Sides: Carrot Salad, Smoked Trout Rillette, Wilted Spring Greens (includes all)

Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Charoset Cake

Note: Seder Plate with shank bone, egg, parsley, horseradish and charoset available.

Price: $150


High Street Philly

(High Street is in its new home at 101 S. 9th Street)

Meal: Passover Box Dinner

When: Saturday, March 27

Pick up/Delivery: Pick up afternoon or evening of March 27.

Menu:

Entree: Braised Brisket or Seared Salmon (select 1)

Sides: Matzoh ball soup, Chicken liver mousse with homemade matzoh crackers, Roasted vegetables and charoset (includes all)

Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake

Note: Seder plate with shank bone, parsley, horseradish and egg can be added.

Price: $50 per person


Frieda

Meal: Passover Dinner

When: Friday, March 26

Pick Up/Delivery: Friday, March 26. Pick up 2-4 p.m. Delivery 4:30-6 p.m. (to 19106, 19107, 19102, 19103)

Menu:

Appetizer: Charoset

Entree: Braised Brisket with port wine sauce or Black Cod with Citrus Miso Glaze

Sides: Tzimmes, Potato latkes, baked ratatouille, Cranberry Orange Quinoa Salad with citrus Vinaigrette

Note: Matzah Ball Soup, Frieda's Orange Cake or Fresh Fruit can be added for #3 each.

Price: $17 per meal.


Classic Cake in Cherry Hill

Meal: Passover desserts

When: Saturday, 3/27

Pick up/Delivery: Pick up only. At Cherry Hill location.

Menu: Plain or chocolate-dipped macaroons, Flourless chocolate cake and more.

Note: Like all of the Passover foods, these are not Passover-style (not strictly Kosher for Passover).

Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown

Meal: Easter Brunch

When: March 20 through April 4

Pick Up/Delivery: On-site event at the zoo.

Menu: Hearty brunch plus an Easter egg scavenger hunt, crafts, a photo op with the Easter bunny and meeting an educational animal and zoo admission.

Note: Available in tables for 2, 4 or 6

Penn Township Easter Egg Hunt in Chester County

Date: Sunday, March 28.

Place: 355 N. Jennersville Road, West Grove, PA

Notes: Socially distant event including Easter egg hunt with prizes, a family-friendly deejay, story time by Avon Grove Library, low-contact games, an appearance by the Easter bunny and more. A sensory-friendly event with a quieter environment is also planned earlier the same day at 260 Lewis Road, West Grove, PA.


New Hope Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express

Date: through April 4

Place: New Hope Train Station

Notes: Hour-long ride on a turn of the century passenger coach with Easter Bunny handing out goodies. Tickets needed.


Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt in Wayne

Date: Saturday, March 20 starting at 8 p.m. (rain date: March 27)

Place: The Radnor Trail - Wayne Arts Center Entrance, 413 Maplewood Avenue

Notes: For 6th grade and up. Free but registration needed.


Pop Up Parks Easter Egg Hunts in Radnor Township

Date: Saturday, March 20 starting at 8 a.m.

Places: Clem Macrone Park, Radnor Nature Park, Odorisio Park, Petrie Park

Notes: Items will be hidden throughout the park for on-your-own hunts.
