Under Phase 2 of New Jersey's opening, amusement parks are opening and that includes New Jersey's largest, loopiest, scariest place -- Six Flags Great Adventure. Members can experience the thrill of the park on Saturday, July 3. The general public is admitted on July 4.

But don't show up without a reservation. Unlike previous years, everyone needs a reservation which can be made on the amusement park's website. There are a series of guidelines related to social distancing including wearing masks at all times throughout the park.

Great Adventure features more than a dozen steel and wooden coasters and innovative rides that turn upside down and toss a body in many directions. There are classic family rides such as a Ferris wheel and a carousel and a separate areas for kids that features Warner Bros. Looney Tunes characters.

Your admission does not include the Wild Safari, which had been a section of the park, and included in park admission since 2013.

Hurricane Harbor Water Park remains closed but should open later this summer.
