Last night was the kick-off party for Philadelphia Fashion Week. Guests gathered at a lit-up outdoor location on Chestnut Street complete with DJ, light bites and cocktails, and Philly's most fashionable folks. Part of the décor included mannequins wearing frocks by locally-based designer Praje Oscar. Philadelphia Fashion Week runs from September 20-24, 2022 celebrating incredible fashion from more than 38 local, national and international designers. For the past 17 years, Philly Fashion Week has continued the mission to highlight independent and mainstream brands by bringing fashion enthusiasts together in one of America’s most cultured, artistic, and fashionable cities. In other exciting news, Philly Fashion Week founders Kevin Parker and Kerry Scott have officially joined the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) as founding members.
Events will be taking place all over our city. See the schedule of events below. This season's special guests include Fern Mallis, Creator of NYFW, Mickey Boardman, Editorial Director of Paper Magazine, and Casandra Diggs, President of the CFDA.
