Lady Bunny Steps back Behind The Rope (for everyone who is wondering, our Part I sit down chat with Bunny aired December 17th, 2020. Feel free to check it out). Yes, THAT Lady Bunny. Drag Queen Extraordinaire, NYC Nightlife Legend, Friend to RuPaul, Lady Bunny. We pick up right where we left off. Lady Bunny is very open when chatting about the phenomenon that is her BFF’s RuPaul’s Drag Race. Bunny weights the pros and cons and ultimately answers the question on whether she feels Drag Race is good for the Drag Community as a whole. When a legendary Queen like Lady Bunny talks Drag Race, we listen!! We discuss how and why Drag Race has become the “mainstream” Emmy winning blockbuster that it is today, the changed perception amongst mainstream viewers of Drag, and how Drag has changed throughout the years from when Bunny and Ru were starting together back in Atlanta, Georgia. Lady Bunny fills us in on all her current projects including, but not limited to, HNN: Hateful Hags Network, a Vimeo Comedy Special she stars in alongside Drag Race Season Six Winner, the one and only Miss Bianca Del Rio. On a more serious note, Lady Bunny discusses the details of the shocking disqualification of Sherry Pie from the Drag Race competition due to a catfishing casting scandal, whether she agrees with that decision and her thoughts on the larger “cancel culture” in general. In addition to longtime friend RuPaul, Lady Bunny has another good friend we were all too interested to chat about. Mr. Andrew Andy Cohen. Bunny opens up about that friendship and her multiple appearances on Watch What Happens Live. Finally, Bunny discusses her appearance and involvement in the Comedy Central Roast of Icon Pamela Anderson and several of the other guests to attend that event such as Tommy Lee, Courtney Love. Bea Arthur and last, but certainly not least, Anna Nicole Smith. LOL in true Lady Bunny comedic fashion, an episode not to be missed. Tune in as our Part II sit down with Lady Bunny comes to a conclusion.
