Around this time every year, the "winter doldrums" get the best of me, and I search for little "pick-me-ups" to help get me through the rest of the season until the transition to (much cheerier) springtime. These always seem to come in the form of BEAUTY PRODUCTS! Makeup has always been an obsession of mine because of its accessibility and transformative power. In the past few weeks, I've tried some fantastic products, and I'm excited to share them with you!
The new NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip is a non-sticky, hydrating lip oil that also adds a juicy hint of color. I am loving them on days when I want a "low maintenance" vibe! Get them here: https://www.nyxcosmetics.com/
There are two mascaras that are taking my lash game to new levels right now- L'oreal Telescopic Lift and Maybelline The Falsies Surreal. Both provide lots of length and volume without getting clumpy. They are available at https://www.target.com/ , and if you get them this week, Target's Circle app has an offer for 20% off mascaras and lashes! If you want even MORE fullness, but are intimidated by false lashes, I highly recommend Eylure London Pre- Glued Naturals lashes in 003. There's no need for glue- you just stick them on! Easy-peasy! Sometimes, powder blushes don't look so great on my dry winter skin. Thank goodness for Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Beauty Blush Wand, which brightens up my face with a creamy formula that doesn't get cakey. I have the shades Peach Pop and Pink Pop, and absolutely love them! They are available at https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/matte-beauty-blush-wand-pillow-talk
As a busy teacher who wakes up super early every morning, I appreciate products that get me out the door in a hurry. The Fold Out Face Palette from Woosh Beauty has concealers, powders, blushes, and eye shadows in one convenient palette. It even has a mirror! Check it out here: https://wooshbeauty.com/collections/face/products/the-fold-out-face-w-secret-brush-set
Lastly, I wanted a powder compact to keep in my purse for touch-ups that was classy looking, so I turned to one of my favorite luxury brands, Dior! The Dior Forever Natural Velvet powder foundation has a great, natural finish, and also has beautiful packaging. You can find it at https://www.dior.com/en_us/beauty/makeup/complexion/powders
