Hi, I'm Krystle!

Hi, I’m Krystle, a new contributor for The City Pulse. Like most women of my generation, I wear many proverbial hats, but for the sake of this platform, I am a writer, media personality, author, radio host, podcast host, journalist ….. Well, there’s no short-list here.

I am a multifaceted human being who loves to do life with other multidimensional humans.

As the creator of Skinny Jeans Dreams, a blog that gained a lot of attention in the early 2010s, I found my online voice in my early 20s when I began sharing pieces of my story as a new mom on a weight loss journey. People loved that stuff back in the day, and it was relatively new, so when Facebook “LIKE” pages first became popular, so did I.

Skinny Jeans Dreams took off, and little did I know, it would lead to a world of writing and connection, and ultimately, my first book - NOURISH: A Journey to Loving and Embracing the Woman Within.

Following the release of Nourish in 2017, I quickly found myself in the mix in South Jersey as a regular contributor for Shore Local Newsmagazine. Over the last seven years, as I bobbed and weaved my way through life, I continued to build a significant portfolio.

That expansive portfolio is filled with stories of the most incredible people, including the difference-makers, business owners, creatives, artists, activists, and community leaders who make the world a more enjoyable place to live. I’ve covered events from corporate panels and grand openings to press conferences and larger-than-life mural installations.

Through it all, the waves of life continued to come. We survived a global pandemic, during which I spontaneously decided to pull my two kids out of the NJ School system and educate them myself from my kitchen table or on a random adventure to Florida, Maine, or Boston.

I can’t call myself a homeschooling mother anymore, as they were both eager to return to school by September 2021, but for one year, I was JUST a mom AND, also, a kindergarten and 5th grade teacher, and I loved it.

Back to reality with the kids back in school, I was tasked with figuring out what I wanted to do next. From 2021 until now, I’ve been slowly but surely unpacking that, and each day brings a new adventure. I started an official writing business that has continued to evolve with me, especially over the last year.

As someone who gets eager to try on new “hats,” I often find myself in a constant state of career evolution. The social media/content creation world is ever-changing, and most of the time, I’m just trying to keep up so that I can continue to share my thoughts, experiences, and gifts with the world in a way that empowers and inspires.

Fast-forward through a gazillion other life changes, and I am now the host of The Coolest People in the World Podcast, a show that takes listeners on a journey through the lives of some of the most inspiring and innovative individuals across the globe—the people you haven’t met yet.

Additionally, this particular season of my life has nudged me back to myself in many ways, and I have been inspired to bring more books to life. As I focus on the growth of my show, the books that currently only exist inside my notebooks, and the fleeting time I have left with my two children before they’re grown, I am excited to share some of my adventures, places I go, and people that I meet, here on The City Pulse.

So, what can you look forward to here in this corner of my world?

  • Events and experiences in the tri-state area and beyond

  • Experiences, stories, and recommendations from places I travel

  • Mom-life adventures (I look forward to sharing my teenager’s summer bucket list)

  • Stories about really cool people I meet along the way

I can’t wait to connect with you further!
