Celebrate All Things Ice In Manayunk!

Dreaming of Spring? The Groundhog saw his shadow this past week so it looks like six more weeks of winter it is. But there are lots of safe and fun winter activities you can participate in this weekend at the Founders Philly Freeze-Out in Manayunk!

Attendees can experience a day of winter fun Saturday, February 13th from 11AM- 4PM. Manayunk.com has teamed up with Founders Brewing Company for ice carving demonstrations, live music, restaurant specials and in-store shopping specials on Main Street. Founders will be offering chowder and drink specials as well.

The event will feature over 35 ice sculptures by Peter Slavin and his team at Ice Sculpture Philly.

Here is the event schedule for the day:

12:30 PM head to Main & Rector Streets to watch a live ice carving demonstration (sponsored by The Couch Tomato & Manayunk Tavern)

11:30 AM -1:30 PM & 2:00 PM-4:00 PM Enjoy live music in Canal View Park

3:30 PM Enjoy another ice carving at Union Tap House (also the sponsor)

Attendees are encouraged to start their day at Shurs Lane where the tour of ice sculptures begins at Manayunk Brewery Company.

Event is FREE but if you register ahead of time you can pick up some swag at Main & Lock Streets and also register for some prize giveaways. You can register ahead here: tinyurl.com/y3jmsjsd

The event is outdoors. Masks and social distancing will be required. If you want to eat indoors Founders Brewing Company is offering beer and chowder specials on the menu at participating restaurants, including Manayunk Tavern, Winnie’s Manayunk, Ryan’s Pub, and Taqueria Amor.
