Recently I had the opportunity to visit Candytopia. I went early on a Monday morning with a girlfriend. I figured it would be something I wrote about as a “family” activity in Philly and having no kids myself, I wasn’t sure it had appeal for the adult crew.
I think my girlfriend Shaz summed it up best in her post afterwards saying, “Play is not just for kids.” And really, if the last 18 months has shown us anything, it is how important it is to take those moments to congregate IRL and create fun memories. Well, look no further than Candytopia.
Candytopia had its first sold-out run pre-pandemic in 2019 and has just reopened for a second limited run at the Philadelphia Fashion District. This confectionary wonderland features more than a dozen rooms with larger-than-life interactive art installations and full sensory experiences inspired by candy and sugar confections. Whether your goal is some fun photos for the “gram” or literally jumping into a marshmallow pit, this place has it all! There are also some great Philly-centric moments to be shared there with Rocky, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and more. “It is so much fun to come into work every day and see our guest’s excitement as they can enjoy our candy-themed, sensational adventure once again, said General Manager Jacqueline Cusack.
And yes, there is candy throughout this interactive experience you can enjoy while you peruse the rooms or can take with you. And don’t forget the amazing gift shop as you exit which includes an amazing array of candy and chocolates as well as memorabilia.

Ticket prices $28 for adults, $20 for kids. Kids 3 and under attend at no cost. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Open from 10:00 am–8:30 pm on Mondays through Saturdays, and 11:00 am–8:30 pm on Sundays.
Covid safety: Group sizes have been reduced for safety and social distancing and there are extensive cleaning and disinfecting policies in place.
