Bringing a New Vision to Hammonton Channel 9

I am so excited to announce that as of this week I've officially taken on a new role leading the charge to revamp Hammonton's channel 9 programming. Not only will I be providing daily weather forecasts throughout the day, including severe weather coverage when needed, but I'll be working closely with a team of dedicated folks to produce a show that highlights the region.

Hammonton will always be near and dear to my heart. While I didn't grow up in the town, it is special because I spent several years there, in high school and beyond. It is an incredible town with so much soul and flavor. It really has big city appeal, but the small town feel. It was at Hammonton High where I honed in on and developed my skills to launch me into this career path. I am a product of Hammonton and it is my hope to get current students and the current TV media program at the high school involved so that others may be motivated to get a headstart and jump in early.

It feels like I'm "returning home" so to say. I'm very much looking forward to working with the town to make channel 9 a shining example of what can be done to communicate with residents in every municipality. Currently the channel is used for town hall meetings and to relay vital information. None of that will change, but the format in which it's delivered will change over time. I plan on introducing cooking segments, fun facts about the rown, history and much more.

This endeavor is being taken on in addition to everything else I do. I'll still continue to be everywhere else of course. If you live in Hammonton and have never tuned into the channel, now's a great opportunity to do so. The first change you'll see immediately is my Hammonton-specific weather forecasts on each hour. As we go into Spring and Summer we will be slowly introducing new programming and ultimately a magazine style show.

We are currently working on designing and building a fully functioning television studio that will be located at town hall and used for live broadcasts of news and weather.

All of this will be available on digital platforms like Hammonton.com as well. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
